First ESCEI Night at RSS

Update:

On Tuesday November 15, ESCEI hosted their first event at Richmond Street School in El Segundo. Our eight mentors, two coaches, and two production team members introduced the basics of computer science and internet safety to fourth and fifth graders. The children were required to complete three activities that taught the fundamentals of complex subjects while delivering an enjoyable experience. Parents were allowed to observe their child's progress and even learned something about computer science themselves!

To our surprise 52 kids showed up to learn about computer science and internet safety. This was an amazing turn out and of the 52 kids approximately 35% were girls. These numbers were greater than expected. With our new female additions to the club roster, we hope to increase the number of girls at the next event!
